ASSN Sports of Japan Coaches Women

I for one have experienced getting a womanly-related injury during my basketball game back when I was a varsity member in high school. It was so awkward to have male physical therapists taking care of you. Good thing we had a female one before but other schools are given male PTs. No one understands the physical pain that women go through other than another female. Sometimes the pain is so difficult to explain that only someone else who experiences it would understand. So now the Japan Sports Association together with other parties will cater to informational programs for sports-related injuries that are specific to women alone by 2015.

And in just six years from now the most anticipated Olympic games in Tokyo will happen. So this is also another preparation for that momentous event. With that in mind the women athletes for the coming years will not have to worry about coaches not understanding the abnormal menstruation pains that leads to stress fractures. The aim of the association is to alleviate the experience for all women and for them to best enjoy the games.

Once a woman engages in sports and intensive exercise they begin to not have their regular period. And not having it regularly is not normal. When she is malnourished, has weight restrictions, and does exercise regimes on a regular basis then she is bound to harm her bones. Not getting their period would reduce the secretion of a hormone that strengthens female bones. This raises the chances of getting stress fractures.

Even if majority of the population have an idea that irregular menstruation is bad a number of them do not understand why and the precautions they should take as coaches. Athletes can be unable to perform their best in training or in the games especially when they have their period. And for a male coach that is baffling and frustrating.

Female athletes would not have to face the awkward situation that is being coy about asking a doctor’s point of view since coaches will be briefed about this. To better help the female community the association hired obstetrics and gynecology specialists to standby during training sessions effective by 2015.
